Overview
For the 14th annual Budapest Central European University Conference on Cognitive Development (BCCCD) in 2024, I designed the cover for the Program and Abstracts booklet. The goal was to visually communicate cognitive development while connecting the design to Budapest’s cultural identity.
Concept
The visual concept combines a brain and a tree to symbolize cognitive growth and the evolution of thought. Stages of leaf growth represent learning and development, while vibrant colors and floral motifs inspired by Hungarian folk art anchor the design to its location.
Final Design
The final cover balances scientific clarity with cultural expression and was used across the conference’s printed materials and presentations.
