BCCCD 2025
Client: Central European University
Project: Program and Abstracts Booklet Cover Design, 2025

The Challenge
After designing the booklet cover for the 14th BCCCD conference in 2024, I was invited to create the cover for the 15th conference in 2025. The goal was to visually represent cognitive development and early childhood growth, while reflecting Budapest’s cultural identity.
Concept & Idea
The main concept was to combine scientific themes of cognitive development with a strong visual reference to Budapest. I developed a visual metaphor that connects architectural structure with mental growth. The idea was to show cognition as something that is continuously built, shaped, and expanded — similar to how a city and a child’s mind develop over time.
Visual Direction
-
Architectural inspiration from Budapest
-
Subtle brain motifs
-
Childlike geometric shapes
-
Bright, energetic color palette

Design Process
Research focused on early cognitive development and Budapest’s cultural heritage.
Sketches explored ways to merge architectural structure with organic, brain-inspired forms before refining the final illustration.
Final design
The final illustration brings together architecture, cognition, and childhood development into a cohesive visual language that aligns with the conference identity.

Outcome
The final cover design was featured as the official Program and Abstracts Booklet for the 15th Annual BCCCD Conference in 2025.
